At the GMTA Solo and Ensemble Festival held at UNCG in February:
Xavier Graves received a Superior Rating
Jeffrey Li received a Superior Rating.
Xavier Graves received a trophy, having received a Superior Rating for two consecutive years.
At the North Carolina Music Teachers Association District Contest – Festival held at UNCG in March:
Xavier Graves received a Superior Rating at the Senior A level.
Jeffrey Li received a Superior Rating at the Junior A level.
Students receiving Superior Ratings at the Junior B, Senior A, and Senior B levels advance to the State level of competition.
At the NCMTA State Contest – Festival held at UNCC in March:
Xavier Graves received a Superior Rating at the Senior A level.
Superior ratings entitle these students to perform at an honors recital at the NCMTA State Convention this fall.
At the GYC Artistry Awards held at the Carolina Theater in March
Xavier Graves received first place and a $150.00 award in the instrumental division.
Caitlyn Carmean received second place and a $100.00 award in the instrumental division.
